Wilbur Spencer

Wilbur W. Spencer, 79, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Sunday, May 25, 2003 at the Medical Center of Independence. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 27, 2003 from 6-8:00 pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A 10:00 am graveside service will be Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Castleview Baptist Church, 22603 E. Pink Hill Rd, Blue Springs, MO 64015. Wilbur was born May 17, 1924 in Marshall, MO to James and Grace (Fowler) Spencer. Prior to retiring to the lake, Mr. Spencer had been a truck driver with the Teamsters local union #41. Wilbur enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing. Mr. Spencer is survived by his wife Nancy (Brockmeier) Spencer of the home, daughter Linda Schafer (Michael) of Raytown, MO, son James Spencer (Marcia) of Independence, MO, daughter Karen Spencer of Independence, MO, and son Mitchell Spencer of Blue Springs, MO.
