Lois Sperry

Lois J. Sperry, 73, of Independence, MO, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Centerpoint Medical Center surrounded by her family. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Speaks. Burial in Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Lois was born February 20, 1937 in Calhoun, MO to Herbert and Virginia (Atwell) Stone. Named the 1950 8th grade valedictorian of Calhoun Elementary School, Lois was a loving dedicated homemaker who always put her family first. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. One of her greatest joys throughout her life was gathering her family for dinners. Lois is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, William “Bill” Sperry; daughters Carol Ochs and husband Robert, Trudy Dixon, Jan Astani and husband Faramarz; grandchildren Rob and Heidi, Aaron and Teresa, Sarah and Jake, Leah, Caleb, William, Thomas; great-grandchildren Lane, Warner, Keller, Channing, A’marie, Juaqin; sister Margaret Fields and husband Charles and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
