Juliet Squires

Juliet Rae Squires, 73, of Warrensburg, MO passed away on Friday, February 20, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Memorial Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 201 Grover St., Warrensburg, MO 64093. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Cremation with private inurnment. Memorial contributions may be made to the Infant Loss Fund, c/o St. Mary’s Medical Center. Julie was born February 22, 1935 in Independence, MO to Virgil and Rose (Perry) Kerr. She was united in marriage to Gene Squires on September 28, 1951 in Huntsville, AR. She enjoyed a career in woodcarving for 40 years and was a member of the National Woodcarvers Association. Mrs. Squires also received a certificate for Master Gardening at Warrensburg University. Julie is survived by her mother Rose; five sons and daughters-in-law Bill and Laura Squires, Danny and Connie Squires, Mike and Debbie Squires, James and Christine Squires, Johnny and Terri Squires; grandchildren Rebecca, Jenee’, Bryan, Shelley, Kodie, Sandi, Timmy, Johnny and Dallas; four great-grandchildren; sisters Pattie Speck and Melissa Winters; brother Michael Winters; and her companion Jim Smith. Julie was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Gene Squires; and by her father Virgil Kerr; brother James Kerr.
