Steven "Red" Srader

Steven M. “Red” Srader, 58, Independence, MO passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 at his home of an apparent heart attack.
He was born May 10, 1951 in Independence, MO, the son of Donald “Toby” and Anna Mary (Woolston) Srader. Steve was a graduate of Truman High School in 1969. He was and avid slow pitch softball player and golfer until his stroke in 2003. Steve was a big fan of the KC Chiefs, Royals and the Missouri Tigers. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Independence, MO.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1991.
Survivors include his mother, Anna Mary; two brothers, James and Ronald Srader and his fiancé, Vy; niece, Jenny; and nephew, Brett.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:30 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
