Jack Stafford

Jack Stafford, 89, of Independence, MO passed away peacefully March 12, 2011. A memorial visitation will take place from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Jack was born February 27, 1922 in Mt. Washington, MO. His family then moved to Independence, where he resided his entire life. He graduated from William Chrisman High School, and then served the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. Jack married Hazel Smitson on September 13, 1946. He worked at Amoco Oil for 38 years before retiring in 1979. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Hazel Stafford; two sons, Stanley and Kevin Stafford; two daughters, Kathy and husband John Pinder, Vickie and husband Brian Foster; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
