Margaret Stansbury

Margaret Pauline Stansbury, 90, of Sugar Creek, MO passed away Monday, May 30, 2011. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Margaret was born March 26, 1921 in Independence, MO to James M. and Anna Mae (Kaylor) Lewis. She retired after working 35 years as a waitress at the Bamboo Hut. Mrs. Stansbury enjoyed collecting dolls in her spare time. She is survived by her son Jerry King and wife Linda, daughters Sheri Greenfield and husband Ron, Beverly Waterman and husband Carl; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers Ike Lewis and wife Agnes, Harry Lewis; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Stansbury; brother Roy; great-grandson Cody.
