Jean Mildred (Webster) Stansfield, 91, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014. A private memorial inurnment will be held at a later time at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Mishawaka, IN.
Jean was born January 12, 1923 in Mishawaka, IN to Joseph E. and Lola May (Hullaberger) Webster. She graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1941. She married John Alfred Stansfield on October 11, 1942. Together, they raised five children. Jean was an accountant for Uniroyal for 25 years. She enjoyed travel with her husband and to see her family. She also enjoyed needlepoint, singing, dinner theatre, and being with her grandchildren. As a faithful Christian she attended Plaza Baptist Church for 20 years and participated in her Sunday school class, and sung in many church choirs. She volunteered as church secretary, for a church library, and for Truman East Hospital. Her family remembers her for her love and good sense of humor.
Jean is survived by sons, Alfred Eugene Stansfield (Tammy) of Blue Springs, MO; and Walter Allen Stansfield of Towanda, KS; daughters, Sue Wanbaugh of Blue Springs, MO; and Christine Biller (Gregory) of Warrensburg, MO; and son, Joseph Michael Stansfield (Sandy) of Edwardsburg, MI; sister-in-law, Valerie Webster of Banning, CA; nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
