Betty was born Nov. 11, 1935 in Brownington, MO and had lived in Buckner for over thirty years. She was a member of the Buckner United Methodist Church. She loved animals and had many friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Stapleton; brothers Larry Eugene Richeson and James Francis Richeson. She is survived by sisters Peggy Croghan and husband Jack, St. Louis, MO; Debbie Sue Knox and husband Rick, Grain Valley, MO; Mildred Brownlee; Georgia Lawson, Clinton, MO; niece Pamela England and husband Jeremy, Oak Grove, MO; nephews Michael Sean Knox and Nicholas Aaron Knox, both of Grand Valley, MO.
