Grace Stark

Grace Bernice Stark, 89, of Independence, MO peacefully passed away Monday, March 3, 2008 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2008 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 2-4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008 in the chapel. Burial in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Grace was born March 16, 1918 in Laclede County, MO to Walter and Lela (Smith) Arnold. She was a baptized member of the Community of Christ Church. Mrs. Stark is best remembered for her devotion to her family and friends. She was the person that everyone knew they could turn to for love, support and advice. She cherished her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Grace enjoyed every moment spent with them molding and teaching. She was a devoted wife, mother and caring friend. Mrs. Stark is survived by her granddaughter Lisa Harvey, grandson Dale Harvey; great-granddaughter Nichole Harvey; sister Maxine Corder; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Grace was preceded in death by her husband Lee Roy Stark; son Charles Kilgore; daughter Helen Harvey; four brothers and three sisters.
