Laura Stark

Laura Georgette Stark, 45, Lee’s Summit, MO was born into eternal life Dec. 10, 2010 at Centerpoint Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am, Sat., Dec. 18, 2010 at Our Lady of the Presentation, Lee’s Summit; interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 5:30 pm, Friday at the church followed by visitation until 9 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Laura G. Stark Memorial Fund to Fight Respiratory Illness, c/o Blue Ridge Bank & Trust, 4200 Little Blue Parkway, Independence, MO 64057.
Laura was born Feb. 13, 1965 in Chicago. IL. She graduated from Raytown South High School in the Class of 1983 and later earned a B.S. in Marketing from UMKC. She was a sales representative for Kemp’s Dairy Products and had previously worked in the marketing dept. at Nabisco. She was a member of Our Lady of the Presentation Parrish. Laura was an extremely devoted mother who enjoyed watching her sons play sports. She also enjoyed running and exercise.
Laura was preceded in death by her mother Phyllis Yocom, uncle Richard Sprague and aunt Dorothy Mesch. She is survived by her sons Zachary Austin Stark and Logan Michael Stark, both of the home; father Donald F. Yocom and wife Sandie, Lee’s Summit, MO; sisters Natalie Claire Sevy and husband Mark, Independence, MO; Maria Charlene Osbourn and husband Michael, Overland Park, KS; brother Guy Michael Yocom and wife Kathy, Lee’s Summit, MO; step-sister Robin Mooney, Lee’s Summit, MO; step-brother Todd Reed, Springfield, MO; nieces and nephews Whitney & Tyler Sevy, Spencer & Alexa Osbourn, Kaitlyn & Matt Fultz, Brigham Mooney, Tate & Landon Reed; aunt Charlene Sprague, Western Springs, IL, uncle Mark Natalie, Littleton, CO and many cousins.
