Gary Ray Stefancik, 48, Sugar Creek, MO passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009.
Gary was born May 12, 1960 in Independence, MO the son of Michael and Dorothy Jean (Simmermon) Stefancik. Gary worked for the City of Independence for over 29 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother and his Stefancik and Simmermon grandparents.
He is survived by his wife, Marguarett (Burks) Stefancik; daughter Amy Stefancik; father Michael Stefancik, Sr. and step mother Patricia; five siblings Michael Stefancik, Jr., Steven Stefancik, Leanne Clark, Rita Wagner, Mark Stefancik; six step-siblings, Susan Hale, Robin Sandt, Karen Williamson, Mary Collins, James Collins and Joe Collins; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at St. Cyril’s Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Woodlawn St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am Wednesday at the church, with a rosary said at 10:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Cyril’s Church.
