Blanche Evelyn Stephenson

Blanche Evelyn Stephenson, 88, Odessa, Mo., formerly of Hermitage, died July 10, 2004 at New Haven Nursing Home in Odessa. Services will be 10 am, Wed., July 14 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at Blue Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The family suggests contributions to New Haven Nursing Home. Blanche was born May 18, 1916 in Clark County, South Dakota. She was a mother, and meticulous homemaker who enjoyed and excelled at gardening and cooking. She was a member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church and was very proud of her Norwegian heritage. Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy J. Stephenson; sister, Bernice Dokken; brother, Orvin Dokken; granddaughter, Melissa Stephenson; and grandson, Justin Lee Keeton. She is survived by daughters Marian Duff, Cookson, OK; Carol Keeton, Pittsburg, MO; son and daughter-in-law Roy and Lindy Stephenson, Bates City, MO; daughter, Marsha Carlson, Des Moines, IA; brother Oscar Dokken, Clark, SD; sister Audrey Danekas, Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren Janna Urdahl, Patrick Hanson, Michelle Schupp, Kristy Bradley, Ethan Carlson, Lyle Keeton; and eight great-grandchildren.
