Margaret Alice “Peg” Stevens, 75, Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014.
Peg was born April 2, 1938 in Northville, SD; the daughter of Henry Guy and Dacotah (Brenckle) LeFevre. She received her Bachelor’s in nursing from South Dakota State University and had served as Assistant Director of Nursing at the Metropolitan Medical Center in Minneapolis. She retired as office manager for her husband’s practice. Peg was an avid golfer and a member of the Minneapolis Golf Club, Lakewood Oaks Golf Club and the Lakewood Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and loved to host gatherings for friends and family.
Survivors include her loving husband Sheridan Stevens, MD; daughters, Hilary Stevens and Cydny Stevens; sister, Betsy Swanson; brothers, Charlie and Paul LeFevre; and additional nieces, nephews, family and her much loved poodle, Bogey. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. A celebration of Peg’s life will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
