Floyd Gene Stewart, 74, of Oak Grove, MO passed away October 14, 2015. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. followed by a 2:00 p.m. service on Wednesday, October 21, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. Burial will be at Buckner Hill Cemetery. Gene was born May 26, 1941. He was a retired master electrician from the company he built to be a success, Stewart Electric. He was a contractor, and settled in Breckenridge, MO raising Black Angus cattle on a farm that he retired to, and planned to live his life out there until about 6 months ago when they moved closer to home and family. Gene spent the last part of his life making great memories that will last his family a lifetime. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Stewart; son, Wayne Stewart; daughter, Wendy Wilson; daughter-in-law, Lynn Hines; granddaughters, Michelle Stewart and her husband Carl Larsen, Courtney Stewart, Trisha Stewart; grandsons, Clayton Stewart and Chad Stewart; great grandchildren, Jayce Stewart, William Larsen, Meena Stewart, Haygan Larsen, Kalista Larsen and her two children, and Paris Stewart.
