Rose Stinnett

July 18, 1913 — October 1, 2011

Rose Adeline Stinnett, 98 of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away, Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Wilshire at Lakewood. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m., until service time Wednesday at the chapel. Rose was born July 18, 1913 in Dunseith, ND to Benjamin H. and Sarah D. (Wagener) Stowell. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family. She was a member of the RLDS Church, Gudgell Park Congregation and a member of the Rhythm Sisters singing group. She was married to Carl Thomas Stinnett who preceded her in death in 1987. Survivors include; a daughter, Sharon Walker of Lee’s Summit, MO; a son, Kelley Stinnett of Westland, MI; a sister, Margaret Osborn Independence, MO; 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by; 4 sons, Carl Vernon, Thomas Dwayne, Paul Darrell and Roger William; a daughter, Patricia Whitson; a grandson, Larry Stinnett; 2 great grandsons Justin Hachinsky and Darrell M. Cook and a great great granddaughter, Brooklynn Delany.
