Dale Stonehocker

March 10, 1938 — July 13, 2011

Dale Stonehocker, 73, of Independence, MO went home to Jesus on Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2011 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 9-10:00 in the chapel. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the KU Parkinson’s Foundation, 3901 Rainbow Blvd., Kansas City, KS 66160. Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Dale was born March 10, 1938 in Ronan, MT to Simon and Ollie (Bronson) Stonehocker. He filled our hearts with fond memories, his warm smile, true friendship of a wonderful man, and a good person because of his reliance on his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Saints.” Psalms 116:15. Dale is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Marsha (Staples) Stonehocker; sisters Betty Johnson (Gary), Donna Rae Jette; brothers Lloyd Stonehocker (Marcia), Jim Stonehocker (Marian), Kent Stonehocker (Julie), Steve Stonehocker (Sheryl); and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Jeff; brother-in-law Marvin Jette; two brothers; one sister.
