Robert Stonehocker

Robert Kent Stonehocker, 64, of Independence, MO, passed away, Monday, December 16, 2013 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time Friday at the chapel. Donations may be made in his name to Hope City, 5101 E. 24th St., Kansas City, MO 64127. Kent was born November 18, 1949 in Thompson Falls, MT to Simon and Ollie (Bronson) Stonehocker. He had worked for over 14 years at AT&T and was currently a System Technician. He loved God, family and people. He is survived by; his wife, Julie of the home; a daughter Jana Cruz of Independence, MO; a son, Ethan Stonehocker of Kansas City, MO; 3 brothers, Lloyd Stonehocker and his wife Marcia of Quesnel, BC, Canada, Jim Stonehocker and his wife Marian of Trout Creek, MT, Steve Stonehocker and his wife Sheryl of Rochelle, IL; 2 sisters, Betty Johnson and her husband Gary of Noxon, MT and Donna Rae Jette and her fiancé Brooke Thompson of Stevensville, MT; a sister-in-law, Marsha Stonehocker of Independence, MO and a granddaughter, Elaine Cruz. He was preceded in death by his brother, Arland D. Stonehocker and a sister Elaine Hodgins.
