Mark L. Storey

Mark L. Storey, 62, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at The Gathering (formerly Noland Road Baptist); 4505 S. Noland Rd., Independence, MO 64055.

Mark was born on March 9, 1960, in Kansas City, MO to Curtis and Mary (Crane) Storey. He graduated from William Chrisman High School, class of 1978, and went on to work several years for Asplundh Tree Service and was currently employed for Nitto Automotive, Inc.

Mark was skilled at the things he enjoyed: fishing, hunting, and camping, as well as, horseshoes, washers, billiards, and cards and would make small gambles on anything. He had a great sense of humor that would keep his family constantly laughing. Mark was kind and friendly and would do anything for anyone. His true passion, though, was his family. Mark was incredibly proud of his entire family. He adored his children and grandchildren, and they adored him. He will be greatly missed.

Mark leaves behind his son, Jeffery Storey and his daughter, Jennifer Hayes; his father, Curtis Storey; grandchildren, Savannah Storey, Amelia Storey, Olyvia Storey, Karson (Renee) Kolle, Kyle Hayes, Kaleb Hayes, and Kyler Hayes; and his brothers, Terry (Kim) Storey, David (Carolyn) Storey, and Timothy (Patricia) Storey.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ryals; stepfather, Raymond Ryals; step-mother, Olygia Storey; and a brother, Jonathan Storey.
