Cyril Stowell

Cyril E. Stowell, 67, of Grain Valley, MO passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012. Visitation for Mr. Stowell will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Speaks Buckner Chapel; 300 Adams, Buckner, MO 64016. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday January 26, at Speaks Buckner Chapel. Burial at Buckner Hill Cemetery. Cyril was born in Independence, MO to parents Benjamine and Mary (Ashcraft) Stowell. Family was always the most important part of Cyril’s life. He loved his family, and especially loved family dinners spent together. Cyril considered himself to be a “car nut” and could fix anything with wheels. He will forever be remembered for his good heart, and friendly personality. Cyril is survived by his four sons, Troy, Mark (Betty), Ryan, and Clint (Mary) Stowell; four sisters, Millie Murdoch, LaDean McLallen (Red), Kay Redmon (Bob) and Twyla Ross; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and Sharon Stowell, friend and mother to his four children. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Art and Roy Stowell, and daughter-in-law, Teresa Michelle Stowell. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Cyril Stowell donation trust fund through any Bank of America. Donations exceeding the cost of funeral needs will be gifted to Kansas City Cancer Center in honor of Cyril.
