Thomas Stowell

Thomas N. “Tom” Stowell, 62, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, September 17 2010 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Graveside services 12:30 p.m. at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Tom was born December 3, 1947 in Kansas City, MO to Nathan and Sadie (Stephenson) Stowell. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam receiving a Purple Heart and Silver Star Medal. Mr. Stowell is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Marilyn (Pinkston) Stowell; daughters Stacy Raynes, Shelley Herrman and husband Tim; grandchildren Megan, Michael, Mikala, Hailee, Allee, Abbee; great-grandchilren Cayden and Chloee; four sisters and one brother. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; one sister.
