Jesse Lee Strode, 23, of Kansas City, MO passed away June 7, 2015. A visitation will be held from 5-8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. The family requests donations be made through the website, http://www.theresearchfoundationkc.org/programs/thinkfirst/overview.html Jesse was born June 4, 1992 in Blue Springs, MO to David and Christy Strode. He attended Truman High School, graduating in 2010. He also attended UMKC for several years. One of Jesse’s proudest accomplishments was working for Dr. Blessing at Blessing Neuropsychological Services for the past five years. Although very young, he was given great opportunities and loved helping others. Jesse always gave more to others than he would himself. He was such a bright man, who was always telling jokes and stories that will be so greatly missed. He loved traveling to race tracks with his dad, brother, and Uncle Joe when he was young, and was able to see a lot of the world at such a young age. He so loved all of his grandparents and cousins, and was always the life of the party. Although our precious boy is gone, he will never be forgotten by all of those who loved him. Jesse is survived by his parents, David and Christy Strode; brother, Joey Strode and sister-in-law Brooke; grandparents, Chilton and Patsy Strode, Sandy Ross and Jim Ross; cousins, Amanda, Amber, Andy, Danny, Christina, Anthony, Regan, Ashley, Kayla, Jeremy and Nolan; aunts and uncles, Joe, Kim, Mike, Briggett, Becky, Tracy, Gordon, Sarah and Paula; as well as his lovable cat Felix.
