David Suggs, Jr.

David Suggs, Jr., 81, Oak Grove, MO passed away Oct. 17, 2009. Services will be at 10 am, Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. Graveside services will be at 2:30 pm, Thursday at O’Dell Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, MO. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the City Union Mission.
David was born Feb. 13, 1928 in Pine Bluff, AR. He was a meat cutter at Ryan’s Steakhouse in Independence for fifteen years before retiring in 2008. David loved his job and the friendship of his customers and co-workers at the restaurant.
David was preceded in death by his wife K. Lynn Suggs. He is survived by sons Larry Suggs, Bristow, VA; Perry Suggs; daughter Denise Willingham; sons Jerry Suggs; David Suggs III, all of Detroit, MI; daughter Doris Barrow, South Carolina; his sister-in-law Cecelia Wakefield, Oak Grove, MO; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and many friends.
