Timothy Summers

Tim Summers, 52, of Independence, MO, passed away on October 25, 2013. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29th at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.
Tim was born to John D. and Patty (Taylor) Summers in Cape Girardeau, MO on October 30, 1960 as one of three children. The family moved to Independence in 1966, where he attended the local schools, graduating from Truman High School in 1979. He worked for McGrath Heating and Cooling. He enjoyed sports, hanging out with his best friend and brother, Scott, and was extremely proud of his son’s accomplishments. Tim is loved and will be missed. He is survived by son, Jonathan Summers and wife Erin; mother, Patty Summers; brother, Scott Summers and wife Cheryl all of Independence, MO; sister, Beth Sparks and husband Brian of Lee’s Summit, MO; five nephews; two nieces; one uncle; and four cousins; three great nieces; two great nephews; and numerous friends who will miss him dearly.
