Peggy A. Swan, 72, Kearney, MO died Jan. 14, 2011. Private graveside services at Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family requests contributions to Furry Kids Refuge, P.O. Box 1442, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063.
Peggy was born April 28, 1939 in Sims, NC. She was a teacher’s aide for the Kansas City School district until her retirement in 2001.
Peggy was preceded in death by son Kevin D. Swan and brother Michael Jenkins. She is survived by daughters Georgia Miller; Renee Short, both of Independence, MO; and sister Idris Mechtley and husband Alan, Overland Park, KS.
