Robert P. Swann

Robert P. Swann, 77, of Independence, MO, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2007 at St. Marks Catholic Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. Entombment in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to KC Hospice. Robert was born April 30, 1929 in Knox Co., MO to Bert and Regina (Albers) Swann. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Swann retired from the General Motors Leeds Plant after 30 years of service in 1989. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Erma (Albert) Swann; children Deborah Coatney, Cheryl Swann and Robert J. Swann; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 sisters Hazel Binkley and Kathleen DeSaulniers; nephew Gary Binkley.
