Franklin “Frank” Swanson, 69, Independence, MO passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church; 10113 Lexington Ave, Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Frank was born December 10, 1941 in Independence, MO the son of Ralph and Frances (Dendish) Swanson. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Frank retired in 2007 from Isle of Capri as maintenance engineer. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and the Ancient Order of River Rats. He enjoyed watching horse racing, football and gardening. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Mary in 1986.
Survivors include his loving wife Peggy Eason Swanson; daughters, Una Ketchum and husband James; Kami Byers and husband Darin, Samantha Robinson and husband Dean; son, Ben Eason; grandchildren, Dustin and Austin Ketchum, Ellah Jo Byers, Lexi Mae “Rosebud” and Phineas Robinson and Bodi Eason; numerous cousins that were close to him and family.
