Dorothy G. Swearngin

Dorothy G. Swearngin, 82, of Raytown, MO, passed away Monday, May 21, 2007 at Park Place Care Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2007 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Dorothy was born May 18, 1925 in Independence, MO to Samuel Willis and Essie Mae (Kelly) Brockman. Mrs. Swearngin had worked for Independence Sanitarium in the past and was an avid HAM radio operator. Dorothy is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Gene and Ada Brockman; step-son Ralph Swearngin and wife Shirley; a host of nieces, nephews and special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Jasper L. Swearngin in 1992.
