Michelle Sweeden

Michelle Lynn Sweeden, 34, Independence, MO went to join her Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 6, 2009. She passed away peacefully due to natural causes at her home and will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of being part of her life.

Michelle was born November 15, 1974 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Darrell A. and Darlene Lee (Long) Sweeden. She was a member of the Buckner Restoration Branch Church. In addition to her unwavering love for her boys, she also loved the Lord and walked by faith. All who knew Michelle were blessed with her constant warm and bright smile as well as her unique and precious laugh.

Michelle was a devoted mother to her boys John, Matthew, and Isaac McQueen, who were the focus of everything she did.

She was a loving daughter to her mother and best friend, Darlene Sweeden and devoted father, Darrell Sweeden. Michelle is also survived by her brothers, David Sweeden, Michael Hailey, and Ron Folsom; Grandma Leota Beebe, and Grandma Josephine Sweeden as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and friends, including her dear friend Donna. Immediate family who will welcome Michelle to her Heavenly home are her brother, John Folsom; Granddaddy Clyde Sweeden; and Grandpa John Beebe.

A celebration on Michelle’s life will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mound Grove Cemetery.
