James Swendrowski

James Edward Swendrowski, 77, of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, January 10, 2008 at St. Mary’s Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2008 at the church. Burial with military honors at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans. James was born November 12, 1930 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Casmira Swendrowski. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. James retired after 35 years of service from AGCO as a welder. Mr. Swendrowski is survived by his wife Betty Swendrowski; sons John Swendrowski and wife Roxanne, Kevin and Joseph Swendrowski, David Balcom; ten grandchildren; cousins Frank Swendrowski and wife Mercedes “Dee”, Richard Swendrowski and wife Delia; Father-in-law Jesse Ballew, Sr.; special friends and caregivers Laura and Randy Ferguson. James was preceded in death by his daughter Mary Kay Swendrowski; and son Joel Balcom.
