Gerald Switzer
November 2, 1925 — November 18, 2011
Gerald “Jerry” H. Switzer was born November 2, 1925 in Oakland, CA. He is survived by his wife, RosaLee, two sons, Mark and Brian, two grandchildren, Andrew and Mary Beth Switzer, one great grandson, Conner; one sister, Martha Jane Scharpf, one nephew, Jeff Griffith, and five nieces, Peggy Paterson, Sheila Begley, Becky Brandt, Sonya Hubbard, and Sharon McKee.
Jerry served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and graduated from the Univ. of Oregon in 1946. He was employed by Business Men’s Assurance.
After moving to Independence, MO after retirement, Jerry and RosaLee became members of Norfleet Baptist Church. He moved to the Missouri Veteran’s home in Warrensburg, MO after developing Parkinson’s disease. Today we celebrate his life, love and friendship.
