Norman “Bud” Taggs, 80, of Independence, MO, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014. Graveside Services will be 2:00 pm, Nov. 28, 2014 at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Norman was born in Woodbine, Iowa, and was the son of Loyd and Freida Taggs and brother to Helen, Lorraine and Robert. Norman's family moved to Missouri when he was a young boy and lived most of his life in Jackson County. He worked at Hawn Bedding, King Koil, Englander and retired from Koch (now Bunzl). He loved football (Kansas City Chiefs), country music, traveling, and good food. He mostly loved his family and is survived by his two daughters, Nora and Gwyn, and their husbands. Norman has three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three "step" great-children. He has three nieces and four nephews, great friends and good neighbors. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Roxie Ann Taggs. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 2:00pm at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Independence, Missouri. Norman requested no flowers, but that donations could be made to Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64137. Online condolences may be expressed at www.speakschapel.com
