In the quietude of Independence, Missouri, a great soul departed from this world. Tausaga Petelo Nu’u Tanuvasa, a man of profound love and unwavering dedication, drew his last breath on March 13, 2024. Born in the serene lands of Upolu, Western Samoa, on December 28, 1952, Tausaga's life journey was one marked by tenderness and devotion to those around him. Tausaga Tanuvasa will always be remembered for the immense love he held for his family. His fierce loyalty and deep affection towards his family members, coupled with the adoration he showered upon his grandchildren, illuminated the path he walked in this life. His legacy of love will continue to shine brightly through the lives he touched and the hearts he embraced.
Tausaga is preceded in passing by his son. His legacy will live on through his best friend and beloved wife, Aneteria Tanuvasa, three sons, and two daughters.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate, remember, and honor Tausaga's life. The first service for family and friends will take place at the LDS Independence Stake Center on the morning of March 25th from 9:00-11:00 AM, followed by a church service beginning at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery at 12:45 PM to offer final goodbyes.
