Archie Terry

Archie “Sandy” Terry, 66 of Independence, MO passed away, Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Centerpoint Medical Center. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052 with cremation to follow. Archie was born March 8, 1946 in West Plains, MO to Robert Allen and Archie Lu (Peck) Terry, Sr. He grew up in West Plains and graduated from West Plains High School in 1964. He worked for the last 12 years for the Nutro Corporation as a controller. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and was an avid golfer and was a PGA professional for a number of years. He was married to Rosie Ortillo on March 25, 1996, she survives at the home. Other survivors include; 3 daughters, Sandy, Trina and Sheila; 2 brothers, Robert Terry and Douglas Terry; 3 sisters, Robin Sanchez, Beth Thomas and Becky Young and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Terry in 2006. Archie would have liked to say goodbye to his many golfing buddies and say thanks for all of the fun.
