Ashley Thomas

Ashley Thomas, 25, and her unborn child, Amya Thomas, of Kansas City, MO passed away November 20, 2009. A visitation will take place from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 25, at Bethel Baptist Church, 2406 S. 291 Hwy, Independence, MO. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. Ashley was born October 4, 1984 in Independence, MO to David and Alison (Stiegler) Thomas. She was a 2003 graduate from Truman High School, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Ashley was a strong, independent woman. She was a wonderful daughter, sister and granddaughter, who will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Ashley was preceded in death by her son, Darryl Aaron Pickens, Jr.; and her aunt, April Renee Stiegler. She is survived by her parents, David and Alison Thomas; two sisters, April Vahle and husband Jeremiah, and Amanda Thomas; grandparents, Ward and Betty Thomas, Frank and Theodora Stiegler; aunt, Ronda Brady; uncle, Don Brady; two cousins, Zach and Kelsey Brady; and two nephews, Jericho and Jackson Vahle.
