Esther Frances Thomas, 79, Independence, Mo passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 with her family at her bedside.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2012 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Mt. Washington Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wayside Waifs.
Esther was born March 27, 1933 in St. Joseph, MO the daughter of Roy and Mamie (McMillan) Bradley. She married Charles R. Thomas on July 22, 1956, and out of that union three children were born. Esther was employed with the Kansas City School District in Van Horn cafeteria. She later transferred to maintenance department until her retirement. Esther was an excellent cook, baker, and the best homemaker ever. She will be sadly missed.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and her parents.
Survivors include her loving husband, Charles Thomas; sons, Ed Thomas and wife Paula, Brian Thomas; daughter, Cheryl Thomas and husband Troy Beene; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and additional nieces, nephew and cousins.
