Joseph Thomas, 81, of Cameron, MO passed away Friday, August 8, 2008 at the VA Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 12 at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Higginsville.
Joseph was born Oct. 27, 1926 in Independence, MO to Joseph Everett and Althea “Katie” (Lamar) Thomas. He served in the U.S. Navy for three years before his honorable discharge in 1947 and then worked for Ford Motor Co., retiring in 1992. After retirement, Joseph became an avid, epic golfer.
Joseph is survived by his daughters: Constance Neece and husband James, Sandra Wells and husband Raymond, Jolynn Thomas, and Sherry Thomas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. His parents, three brothers, and three sisters preceded him in death.
