Dylan E. Thompson, 16, of Independence, MO died March 21, 2015. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, April 6th at Carson Speaks Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 7th. Burial will be at Mound Grove Cemetery. Dylan was born May 5, 1998 in Independence, MO to Trisha Kay Campbell and Donald Eugene Thompson, Jr. He was attending William Chrisman High School and then Independence Academy. Last summer he worked his first job pouring concrete for Beacon Co. in Lee’s Summit. Dylan liked skateboarding, fast cars, and was a typical teasing, loving and protective big brother to his little sisters. His family remembers him as funny, social, charismatic and especially strong willed. Dylan is loved and will be missed. He left behind his mother, Trisha; father, Donald; sisters, Marrisa Haase, Mariah Kay Kisner, Addyline Rae Watkins; maternal grandparents, Debra and William Campbell; uncle, Christopher Campbell; great grandmother, Barbara Throne; great aunts, Candy Goldsberry and Carol “Aunt Sissy”; great uncle, Clyde “Jerry” Campbell; uncles, David, Donnie, Bill, Phillip, and Brian Alvis; Niece Valerie June Grey and numerous cousins and friends.
