Helen N. Tobin

Helen Tobin, 80, of Independence, MO passed away on November 24, 2005 at the Independence Regional Health Center. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the chapel with burial at Blue Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Castleview Baptist Church, Independence, MO. Helen was born on November 14, 1925 in Kansas City, KS to Forest and Esta Rabon. She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald L. Tobin. Being with her family and her church were most important in her life. She was charter member of the Castleview Baptist Church, and loved teaching her Sunday School class for over 40 years. Helen is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jack Tobin; 2 sons, Bruce and wife Gail Tobin and Brent and wife Jennie Tobin; 8 sisters, Barbara Thomas, Hazel and husband Joe Reves, Evelyn Thompson, Doris Sanders, Waneta and husband Ed Sitz, Jenny and husband Jim Merry, Phylis and husband Jim Blowers, and Charlotte and husband Scott Buergt; 2 brothers, John and wife Barbara Thompson and Stephen and wife Rhonda Thompson; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
