Thomas Torbert

Thomas “Tom” Torbert, 68, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Friday, April 2, 2010 at Menorah Medical Center. Services will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Woods Chapel United Methodist Church. Visitation will be prior to the service from 6-7:30 p.m. Tom was born September 29, 1941 in Spencer, IA to Orville and Docia (Blount) Torbert. He was an active and faithful member of the church. Mr. Torbert retired from John Deere after 35 years of dedicated service. He was focused in life on his faith, family, friends and photography. Mr. Torbert is survived by his wife Annette (Patterson) Torbert; son Justin Charles Torbert; daughter Jenifer Muir and husband Daryl; grandchildren Ben and Ava Muir; mother Docia Torbert; sisters Janet Beaman, Linda Schieb and husband Bob; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his father Orville and brother Joe.
