Shelley M. Tormena (Pearce)

Shelley Tormena, 46, of Independence, MO passed away March 12, 2015 at her home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March17, at Brooking Cemetery, Raytown, MO. Contributions may be made in Shelley’s name to the American Melanoma Foundation or Heartland Hospice. Shelley was born February 15, 1969 in Independence, MO to Tom and Kathy (Jones) Pearce. She graduated from William Chrisman High School. She had a great sense of humor and loved animals. While cancer took Shelley’s body, it did not take her spirit. Shelley was preceded in death by her father-in-law, James Tormena, Sr.; and numerous grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Jim Tormena, Jr.; two daughters, Katelyn and Sydney Tormena; parents, Tom and Kathy Pearce; two brothers, Shannon and Shawn Pearce; grandparents, Wilson and Dorothy Jones; mother-in-law, Barbara Tormena; sister-in-law, Renee Tormena; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving family members.
