Joseph William Tosatto, 82 of Independence, MO passed away, Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Independence Manor Care surrounded by his family. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 with cremation to follow. Donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society. Joe was born September 4, 1932 in Higbee, MO to Ernesto and Sara Tosatto. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He has worked for 30 years as a switchman for the Burlington Northern Railroad until he retired in 1995. He enjoyed reading and spending time with family. Survivors include; his wife, Wilma of the home; 2 daughters, Betty Haase and Linda McElwee; 2 granddaughters, Angel Davis and Penny Blakely; 5 grandsons, David Haase, Anthony Haase, Timothy Haase, Chris Haase and Wayne Breshears; 17 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; 1 great great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, John, Tom, James and Gene and one grandchild, Michael Haase. He was very loved by all his family and friends.
