Kathleen Marie Totty

Kathleen Marie Totty, 74 of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, at St. Luke’s East Hospital. Cremation is planned, and as per her wishes, there will be no services. Kathy was born May 8, 1948, in Independence, MO to Jack Edward and Helen Marie (McGuire) Totty and has been a lifelong Independence resident graduating from William Chrisman High School in 1966. She enjoyed writing music and poetry, playing the piano and singing with friends. She was a longtime hair stylist and enjoyed her work where she met many lifelong friends. She is survived by; a daughter, Connie Edwards of Wahoo, NE; 3 nieces, Sara Totty of Blue Springs, MO, Kim Fulmer of Williamsburg, Ohio and Amy Martens of Independence, MO; a nephew, Stewart E. Totty, of Montana; and 2 grandchildren, Rachel Steele and Megan Steele of Wahoo, NE. She was preceded in death by; her parents; 2 brothers, Stewart E Totty, and Stephen A Totty; and a nephew, Stephen C Totty.
