Joseph Travis

Joseph Paul Travis, 93, of Independence, MO passed away April 13, 2013. A service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Burial will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Paul was born June 8, 1919 in Iantha, MO to William T. and Alice V. (Butler) Travis. He retired from the Hickman Mills School District, where he had worked as a custodian for many years. Paul was preceded in death by Wilma Maxine Travis; one brother; and three sisters. He is survived by his children, Richard Paul Travis, Margaret Joan Thompson, Shirley Jean Crossan and Richard James; five grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
