Norma Tucker

Norma Frances Tucker, 97, Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Memorial Services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Norma was born January 14, 1914 in Ottertail County, MN the daughter of Lester and Effie (Kimber) Whiting. She was an active member of the Community of Christ in Eureka, CA and attended the New Walnut Park Congregation in Independence. At the age of 65, Norma received her BA degree in music! She enjoyed playing the piano, violin, cello and was a piano teacher as well. Mrs. Tucker was a devoted wife, mother and friend. Norma is survived by her daughter Gail Miller and husband Robert; grandchildren Teresa Boyd, Richard Miller, Laura Eastham, Tristan and Molly Tucker; seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank and son Dick.
