Erma Tuckness

Erma Tuckness, 83, of Independence, MO passed away July 12, 2010. Services will begin at 2 pm, Thursday, July 15 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence with burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Erma was born May 30, 1927 to Loren and Opal (Retheford) Welch. She married John C. Tuckness October 30, 1947 and together raised three children. Erma devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband John C. Tuckness in 2004; sisters Helen Woolford and Maxine Wheatley; brothers Harold Welch, Robert Welch, and Charles Welch. She is survived by her son John L. Tuckness and wife Leslie of Independence; daughter Linda Howard and husband Robert of Independence; son William Wayne Tuckness and wife Patricia of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren: Stacy Jones, Ashley Frazier, Jonathan Yeager, Collette Call, Derrick Yeager, Gretchen Tuckness and Ryan Tuckness; great grandchildren: Katie Jones, Mikhayla Jones, Madalyn Jones, Jada Call, Jake Call and Eiley Frazier.
