Peggy Jo Turner (Cogan)

Peggy Jo Turner, 88, of Independence, MO, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. A memorial visitation and service will be held Monday, September 12th at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Family will greet guests from 1-2 pm with services beginning at 2. Peggy will be laid to rest in Oak Ridge Memory Garden in Independence, MO. Both Peggy and her beloved husband, Robert will be inurned following services. Peggy was born in Independence, MO on September 14, 1933, to Carl and Margaret (Bates) Cogan. On December 16, 1949, Peggy married the love of her life, Robert E. “Bob” Turner in Independence, MO. From their union came two children, Diann and Robert. Peggy was a devoted mother and wife. She enjoyed numerous activities with her family such as square dancing, bowling and CB Club. Peggy loved the lake and being on the water spending time with her loved ones. Peggy will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Bob Turner; parents, Carl & Margaret (Bates) Cogan; brothers, Donald and Carl Cogan; and sister, Betty Hughes.
Peggy is survived by her children, Diann (Gary) Johnson and Rob (Wendy) Turner, and
