Mary Uptegrove, 84, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at home. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Monday, May 28, 2012 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery Kansas City, MO. Mary was born on March 20, 1928 in Kansas City to parents William and Mary (Loffer) Mills. She is preceded in death by husband, Monty Christopher Uptegrove of whom she loved and cherished for 26 years. Mary is survived by brother, William “Bud” Mills; sister, Gloria Jean Gauert (Richard) sons; William Eugene Domique (Judith), Monty “Mike” Uptegrove (Regina), Jackie Lee Uptegrove, and Mark Christopher Uptegrove (Rebecca); daughters, Linda Diane Gray, and Mary Ina Hawley; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
