Connie Mae Utter (Norton)

Connie Mae (Norton) Short Utter, 91, Blue Springs, Mo, formerly of Independence, MO, passed away Aug 14, 2015. Services will be 10 am, Tuesday, Aug. 18 at Speaks Suburban chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Green Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 am before the service at the chapel. Connie was born Oct. 17, 1923 in Kansas City, MO. She lived most of her life in Independence, MO before settling in Blue Springs two years ago. She was known as Connie, Mother, Grandma and Mimi. Connie was preceded in death by husband Dave Utter and grandson Darryl Wells. She will be sadly missed by daughters Lois Wells and husband Jim, Odessa, MO; Linda Williams and Brian Tisch, Independence, MO; granddaughter Cheryl Crane and Randy Taylor; grandson Brad Byers and wife Janalee; great-grandson Dr. Zachary Downs; great-granddaughters Ashley Byers and Gabby Byers and her beloved little dog, Bambi.
