Obituary

Val Lynn Thomason, preceded in death by, her mother and father Myron Thomason and Janice Hyde Thomason. Arrived on Earth in San Salvador, El Salvador on April 5, 1957.

Val attended grade school in Thailand, Lamoni, Iowa, and Grand Forks, North Dakota. She graduated high school in Ridgewood, New Jersey and obtained her Bachelors degree in Home Economics from Arizona State University. Val married on May 22, 1982 and raised 2 children: Brandon and Brianna Fiscus. Chief Petty Officer Brandon Fiscus, Master of Arms, currently prior service recruiter, Naval Reserve Center, Springfield, Missouri, previously deployed to the Arabian Gulf. Major Brianna Fiscus stationed at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, as a Registered Nurse, previous deployment to Bagram, Afghanistan. Brandon married Kellee May 20, 2010 and they are raising 2 children Zoee (14) and Brian Emerson (10). She also leaves behind her sister, Liz and brother in law Bruce Scully.

Val's life work includes certified medical assistant, home health aide, and a variety of other occupations. Val continued in eternal life March 19, 2026 at 6:29 p.m.

For your information, Val previously witnessed a wonderful monumental moment of her child receiving a cookie jar while competing in the Pillsbury Dough Boy cooking competition. Also witnessing her child winning a spelling bee; winning with the word "I'm." (mic drop). The other child denies any monumental achievements, other than being born, witnessed by Val.
