Mary B. Van Hoet, 91, of Kansas City, MO passed away January 29, 2011 at Rosewood Health Center. Mary was born August 28, 1919 in Kansas City, KS. She worked in various occupations with her husband Richard, including working as truck gardeners; Van Hoet’s Hardware Store; and Van Hoet’s Greenhouse. She was also a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Mary was passionate about gardening, cooking and most of all spending time with her loving family. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Richard L. Van Hoet Sr.; son, Richard Van Hoet Jr.; daughter, Diana Raymer and husband David; three grandchildren, Janet Raymer, Delores Raymer and Mary Bucko and husband Nick; as well as two great grandchildren, Alexander and Ethan Bucko. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. Rosary on Tuesday, February 1, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd., Independence, MO.
